ADMISSION AND APPLICATION

Application deadlines for winter term 2023/24:

  • EU students: 15 September 2023 (exceptions possible -- get in contact with us!)

  • Non-EU students: 15 July 2023

Language

The programme will be operated in English and German. Potential students whose mother tongue is not English, have to present sufficient skills of the English language (B2 niveau ; english version) either via appropriate certificates (TOEFEL, at least 88 points or equivalent tests; University Language Center ZFA) or  8 to 9 years of English in school (with higher school certificate (Abitur)).


Students whose mother tongue is not German have to povide sufficient skills in the German language (p. e. DSH 2, resp. Test DaF 4x4 or better).

Application Process

1. WRITE AN ESSAY OF APPLICATION

  • About 5 pages

  • Either in English or in German

  • The essay has to deal with a thematic or methodic key aspect of the study programme and should also mention the personal interest in this particular aspect. The key aspects of the programme are presented in the module description.
     

2. TOGETHER WITH YOUR ESSAY, HAND IN:

  • CV

  • Certificates (language skills, Abitur/higher school certificate, bachelor's degree certificate, Transcript of Records). If you receive your bachelor's degree certificate not until the submission deadline, please contact us.

  • As one PDF via email to hps-plus@rub.de.


3. AFTER A SUCCESSFUL WRITTEN APPLICATION YOU WILL BE INVITED FOR AN INTERVIEW (30 MINUTES),

     PERSONALLY OR VIA INTERNET.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION:

EU students please send their application via e-mail to hps-plus@rub.de.

Non-EU students have to apply online. Important note: during the online application process you get the option to upload an essay as well as language certificates. These uploads are mandatory for HPS+, even if the form says that they are optional.
